Connections and Lunch: “Connections” class is taught on Tuesdays – Thursdays from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.  Tuesday is Guys / Girls Bible Class, Wednesday is either Work Out Wednesday or Cooking Class, and Thursday is College & Career Readiness! After Connections, students have lunch from 12 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. This is a great time for students to visit with mentors, volunteers, and guest speakers! Students take the time to shoot hoops outside or just relax inside.

The only word that can describe the individuals, families, small groups, and churches that donate lunches to our school is AWESOME. We appreciate so much the members of the community who help prepare and serve meals to our students!

Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is a closed campus. Students stay on campus throughout the day. Because some of the students struggle with substance abuse and because the school is located in an area where drugs are very accessible, students must remain with staff at all times while they are on campus.

Field Trips: We desire for our students to have opportunities for hands-on learning via field trips to places in the community. Volunteers are welcome to coordinate a visit to their workplace or to sponsor a field trip to places such as the Science Place at Fair Park, the Dallas Museum of Art, and college or vocational programs. In the past, our students have visited Cisco Systems, the J.C. Penney Headquarters, and the Mary Kay Manufacturing Plant, among other sites.
